Green Pond, Cornwall AIA meet in Sandals Under-15 final - Jamaica Observer

TUCKER, St James — Green Pond High have set up a clash against Cornwall AIA in Sunday's final of the St James Football Association Sandals Resorts International Under-15 competition after beating St James High 1-0 in their semi-final at Wespow Park on Wednesday.

St James High had won the game at Green Pond High to qualify for the semi-finals and had finished ahead of Green Pond on the points table.

Green Pond will face Cornwall AIA who won the first semi-final on Tuesday, coming from behind to beat Athletes in Action 3-1.

Cornwall AIA were beating their training partners Athletics in Action for the second time after winning the first game 5-1.

Alejandre Ennis gave AIA the lead right on the half-time break when he scored in the 35th minute.

Kavontea Gooden scored in the 42nd minute, his fifth of the season, to pull Cornwall AIA level; Carlando Morris gave them the lead in the 64th minute while Ameche Robinson added a third goal in time added on at the end of the second half.

The Under-15 final will precede the Under-17 final between Athletes in Action and Irwin High, both at Wespow Park.
